How much does artificial grass cost?

Artificial grass has a very large price range due to the number of types of turf, quality of turf, your yard conditions, access to your yard, borders, etc.  Imported grass will normally be less expensive initially, but you will pay more in the long run as imported turf doesn’t last through its warranty.

Also, nylon synthetic grass is pricier, with polyethylene and polypropylene being much more affordable

Rule of thumb, use $10.00 per square foot to put you in the ballpark as to what an artificial grass project may cost. Your exact price will vary depending on the factors above. 

How long will my artificial grass last?

The life of your turf is dependent on the quality of your turf. Most imported turf comes with a 15 year warranty, but we have found through our 14 years in business imported turf disintegrates much sooner than its warranty.

Our domestic turf has a manufacturer’s 15 year warranty, but with regular wear and tear you should expect 20+ years.

Is artificial grass maintenance free?

Artificial grass is a low maintenance product. Depending on the area and conditions where it is installed, your maintenance time will vary, but rest assured we are only talking a few minutes monthly. See our maintenance page here: maintenance

Can artificial grass really save me money?

Artificial grass initially will cost more, but the savings will be recaptured in the long run. Depending on the yard, you will recoup the savings on average within 6 years. Water rates and natural grass maintenance costs are rising every year. Once your new artificial grass is installed, your will no longer have these costs.

Does artificial grass get hotter than real grass?

Yes. Because artificial grass drains water at a much higher rate than natural sod, there is no moisture retained. Artificial grass can get 30-50% hotter than natural grass. However, we have an organic infill that reduces the temperature of artificial grass 30-50%. Contact us for details.

Is artificial pet turf good for my dogs?

Emphatically YES! Pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides account for 70% of canine cancer. Those same toxins are found inside of your homes due to your pets and dogs tracking them inside.

Is fake grass more durable than real grass?

Yes. Real grass gets muddy, brown, chairs and tables can sink into it, and heavy foot traffic can kill it. Installed properly, artificial grass can hold up to high foot traffic, it is often used at event centers that have high traffic, chairs and tables, and of course it never muddies or turns brown.

Can I install artificial grass on slopes?

This would depend on the severity of the slope and the aggregate of the slope. There are particular procedures we use to ensure the artificial turf doesn’t start to slide after it has been installed.

Can I install artificial grass if I have gophers?

Ideally, we recommend calling gopher control. After they are done, we install a special mesh to prevent gophers from coming up through the base.
